Podia lets you experience your account from a member’s perspective through the Home Feed. This view allows you to browse your products, events, spaces, and other content the same way your members do.
However, if you’d like to test the complete customer journey — including checkout, product enrollment, quizzes, and other member-only experiences — we recommend creating a separate test account on your site.
Using a test account lets you go through the entire experience exactly as a customer would and helps ensure everything is working as expected.
Creating a test account
The first step in creating a test account is to visit your public site and sign up for a product, event, or community plan just as a customer would through checkout.
When creating your test account, be sure to use a different email address than the one associated with your Podia admin account. This ensures you can properly test the customer experience without affecting your admin access.
After going through checkout, you'll be prompted to set up a profile, which helps determine how this test account appears throughout your community and other member areas.
Once you're done, you'll be taken to the Home feed, where you can navigate through other areas of the account as a member.

What if I don't have another email address?
Some email providers like Gmail allow for the creation of aliases using special characters like "+" or "."
For example, if your email address is [email protected], you could use addresses like [email protected] when creating a test account. Messages sent to these aliases will still arrive in your main inbox, but Podia will treat them as unique email addresses.
When creating a test account, it’s important to use a different email address (or alias) than the one associated with your Podia admin account. This allows you to properly test the member experience without affecting your admin access.
