Badges are a great way to encourage interaction and build engagement within your community.
They’re automatically assigned to members based on actions and how long they’ve been part of your community.
Badges can help build trust between members, highlight different roles, and encourage long-term engagement.
They’ll appear next to a member’s profile throughout your community.
What badges can members earn?
Depending on your members’ permissions and account age, we will attribute a specific badge next to their profile.
Account permission badges:
Creator
Teammate
Account age badges:
Founder - This badge is given to the first 10 members of your community
Veteran - This badge is given to members who’ve been with the community for over 4 years
New - This badge is given to members during their first 30 days of membership
1 mo - Account age 1 month - 3 months
3 mo - Account age 3 months - 6 months
6 mo - Account age 6 months - 12 months
1 yr - Account age 1 year - 2 years
2 yr - Account age 2 years - 3 years
3 yr - Account age 3 years - 4 years
Renaming badges
While badges come with default labels, you can easily rename community badges from your community settings.
Here's how to rename community badges on Podia:
From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.
From the Admin dashboard, click Settings in the sidebar menu.
Click Edit next to the Badges option.
Change the name of the badges in your community by editing the text in the respective fields for each badge.
Click Save to save your changes.

You can, however, rename any of these badges based on your own preferences.

No. Time reward badges - such as 1mo, 3mo, 1yr, etc - cannot be renamed.
They will be rewarded to members based on how much time they've spent in your community.

Yes! You can rename both the creator and teammate badge icons.
