From your home feed, click on your profile picture/avatar in the bottom-left corner.
Click Set status to away/online to define your chat status.

If your status is set to online and you log out or leave your account, it will automatically switch to offline.
If you manually set your status to offline, it will stay that way — even when you log back in later. You’ll need to change it back to online yourself if you want others to see you as active.
