Setting up your website for the first time
If this is your first time opening the site builder, you'll be prompted to select the options that would better suit the site you're building.
NOTE: If you already have a website with us, you won't see this option and will be taken directly to the site builder.
Here's how to set up your website for the first time:
From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.
From your Admin dashboard, click Website in the sidebar menu.
Pick a color combination from the available options and select one of the starting template options. Choose carefully, as the starting template cannot be modified once your site is created.
You will be able to choose between four different template options:Blank site: If you want to start from scratch and build everything yourself
Email lander: A simple page that collects emails from your audience
Link page: A simple page with links to the rest of your online presence, such as social media profiles, external site, etc.
Full website: We will generate a complete and customizable website for you.
Review your site's language and click Show me my website to view your website.
After choosing an option, you will be directed to your website, which we have crafted just for you ✨.
Customizing your homepage
Your homepage is one of the most important pages on your site, it’s often the first thing people see when they visit your website.
There are many ways to design your homepage, depending on your goals. Here are a few ideas of what you can include:
Introduce your business and who you are
Share your story or background
Highlight your products
Add a newsletter signup form
Here's how to customize your homepage:
You'll be taken to the site builder, where you'll be able to edit your homepage.
To add a new section, hover your mouse over the area where you'd like to add a new page section. Click the “+” symbol and pick different types of page sections from the left-hand menu.
To edit an existing section, click directly on the page section you’d like to edit. From there, use the left-hand menu to edit the information from your page section.
Customizing your product sales pages
When you create a product in Podia, a sales page is automatically generated for you.
This saves you time and makes things easier since you don’t need to build the page from scratch. Once your product is created, you can customize its sales page to match your needs.
