Responding to a customer messaging notification

Learn how to respond to a customer message in Podia Chat.

While using the Podia app, you will be able to receive notifications for any new messages received on the left-hand top corner of the page. These will appear on all pages, except the messaging page, and will appear for 5 seconds before being automatically dismissed. The unread message counter will also be shown beside the messaging link in the navigation.

By simply clicking on these notification messages, you will be taken directly to the customer conversation in the messaging app.

Disabling in-app notifications

You can easily toggle the in-app messaging notifications by navigating to your Notifications page.

First, you will click on your Avatar and choose Account from the dropdown.

Next, you will click through the Notifications tab, and scroll down to the New message notifications section.

Next, you can use the "in-app notification" toggle to enable or disable the in-app messaging notifications.
