You can easily replace files you’ve uploaded to products and posts if you ever need to update or change them, even after they’ve already been added.
Podia makes it simple to swap out uploaded files. In this article, we’ll show you how to replace them.
Replacing files
The first step is to locate the file you want to replace, whether it’s in a product, event, post, or something else.
Go to the area where the file is currently being used — for example, by opening the product from your admin dashboard or finding the post from your home feed.
Replacing a file might look different depending on what you're trying to edit. Let's take a look at each one of the options.
Videos
To replace a video:
Hover your mouse over the video player and click on the Edit icon.
Replace the video under the Video field.
Audio
To replace an audio:
Hover your mouse over the audio player and click on the Edit icon.
Replace the video under the Edit audio field.
Files
To replace a file:
Hover your mouse over the file and click on the Edit icon.
Replace the video under the Edit file field.
Digital downloads
To replace a file uploaded to a download product:
Click on the file name you want to replace.
Replace the file you have under the File field.
