A thumbnail is what a person sees before clicking the play button and they will show up directly within the video player itself.
Adding a thumbnail to your video lessons
In the sidebar menu, click on Products.
Click on Edit next to the online course you'd like to add subtitles to.
Click directly on the lesson name of the video you’d like to add a thumbnail to open up its editing options.
Upload a file from your computer or select one from your Media Library using the Thumbnail field, then click Save in the lower right-hand corner.
Note: Even though your thumbnail will upload immediately, it could take up to a few minutes to process and show up on your video.
If you ever want to replace your custom thumbnail, just follow the same steps as above. 👍
Adding a video thumbnail to your video page sections
Access the Site builder and add a video page section to any of your site pages.
Using the left-hand menu, upload a file from your computer or select one from your Media Library using the Thumbnail field.
Note: Even though your thumbnail will upload immediately, it could take up to a few minutes to process and show up on your video.
If you ever want to replace your custom thumbnail, just follow the same steps as above. 👍
Adding a video thumbnail to community posts
Step 1: Access your Community area and write a new post.
If you decide to upload a video to your post, simply use the Video thumbnail area to upload a thumbnail to your community post video.
Recommended thumbnail sizes
The size you choose for your image is up to you, but we recommend keeping it the same dimensions as the video you've uploaded.
For example, a 1080p video thumbnail should have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px.
