With the new Podia, Community is now built in instead of being a separate add-on.
When someone buys a product, joins a plan, creates an account, or signs up for a free product, they’ll have access to your community.
Their home feed is customized based on what they’ve signed up for. From there, they can view announcements, access their products, explore other offers, and connect with you and other members — all in one place.
In this article, we’ll go over the different ways people can join and access your Podia account.
Understanding community in the new Podia
Built-in community access
Anyone who signs up for your site will get free access to your community.
This means they’ll gain access when they take actions like purchasing a product or creating an account.
You can control what this free access includes by choosing which spaces they can view and whether they can access any products included with your membership.
When someone joins, they’ll see a personalized home feed based on what this free access includes, along with any products they’ve signed up for.
Paid community plans
Members can also join a paid community plan directly. Access to spaces will depend on the settings you’ve configured for any of your paid plans.
You can create different tiers that unlock more spaces, products, or content depending on the price and benefits you want to offer for each paid plan.
