Section 512 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 provides the rules for reporting copyright infringement and for filing a counter-notification.
Reporting a copyright infringement
If you believe that work residing or accessible on or through Podia's services infringes a copyright, please send us an email to [email protected] and provide the following information:
Your name and contact details or that of your authorized agent (mailing address, phone number, and email where you can be reached)
URLs of infringing content
URLs where your original content can be found
Brief description or explanation of your original content
A statement made in good faith confirming that the use of your content is not authorized by yourself, your agent or the law and that you request that the content be removed
A statement regarding the accuracy and truthfulness of the information that you are submitting in this notice as well as confirming under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly being infringed
Physical or electronic signature by yourself, as the copyright owner, or your authorized agent

When we respond to a report, we provide the rights-owner's name and email address to the person who posted the content you are reporting. If you are able to provide a valid legal alternative, such as a company name or the name of a representative you have authorized to act on your behalf, we will review and apply it if appropriate.
In addition to complying with the DMCA, Podia reserves the right to terminate user accounts of repeat infringers of others’ intellectual property rights. Podia also reserves the right to terminate user accounts after a single infringement.
Filing a counter-notification
If you have received a Take Down Notice and you believe the content reported is not infringing, or that you have the right to share the content and use the material from the copyright owner or pursuant to law, you can submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification email must contain the following information (please confirm these requirements with your legal counsel or see the U.S. Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3) for more information.
Please also note that all information must be submitted in English:
a physical or electronic signature of the user of the services;
identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed;
a statement made under penalty of perjury that the subscriber has a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material; and
the subscriber’s name, address, telephone number, and a statement that the subscriber consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if the subscriber’s address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which the service provider may be found, and that the user will accept service of process from the person who provided notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), or an agent of such person.

Under the Copyright Act, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may be subject to liability.
